早上好!
非常荣幸能参加这次面试,我是×××号考生,报考的职位是×××,希望通过这次面试能向各位老师学到更多东西。
我来自美丽的海滨城市××,今年24岁,是××大学××专业本科的应届毕业生。闽南的山水哺育我长大,我的血液里流淌着闽南人特有活泼开朗的性格和爱拼才会赢的打拼精神。带着这种精神,在校期间我刻苦学习,不负众望分别获得01-02年度二等奖学金,03-04年度和04-05年度三等奖学金,用实际努力报答父母和师长的养育之恩。
除了学习之外,我还积极参加各种社会实践活动。我曾担任班级的宣传委员,组织了几次班级和学院的公益活动:如青年志愿者助残活动,向孤儿院儿童献爱心活动等。组织这些活动以及和活动中和成员的相处让我学到了很多东西,对培养自己的能力和人际关系的处理有很大的好处,为我更快的走向社会提供了良好的平台。
此外,计算机和篮球是我业余最大的爱好,我计算机过了国家2级,除熟悉日常电脑操作和维护外,还自学了网站设计等,并自己设计了个人主页。我是班级的篮球队主力,我觉的篮球不仅可以强身健体还可以培养一个人的团队精神。
回顾自己大学四年的工作学习生活,感触很深,但觉的收获还是颇丰的。掌握了专业知识,培养了自己各方面的能力,这些对今后的工作都将产生重要的帮助。除此之外,也应该看到我的一些缺点,如有时候做事情比较急于求成,在工作中实际经验不足等等。但“金无足赤,人无完人”每个人都不可避免的存在他的缺点,有缺点并不可怕,关键的是如何看待自己的缺点,只有正视它的存在,通过不断的努力学习才能改正自己的缺点。今后我将更严格要求自己,努力工作,刻苦学习,发扬优点,改正缺点,开拓前进。
这次我选择这个职位除了专业对口以外,我觉的我也十分喜欢这个职位,相信它能让我充分实现我的社会理想和体现自身的价值。我认为我有能力也有信心做好这份工作希望大家能够认可我,给我这个机会!

i am a third year mastermajor in automation at shanghai jiao tong university, p. r. china.with tremendous interest in industrial engineering, i am writing toapply for acceptance into your ph.d. graduate program.
educationbackground
in1995, i entered the nanjing university of science & technology(nust) -- widely considered one of the china’s best engineeringschools. during the following undergraduate study, my academicrecords kept distinguished among the whole department. i wasgranted first class prize every semester, and my overallgpa(http://cankao.gcw818.com) ranked no.1 among 113 students. in 1999, i got theprivilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admissiontest. i selected the shanghai jiao tong university to continue mystudy for its best reputation on combinatorial optimization andnetwork scheduling where my research interest lies.
atthe period of my graduate study, my overall gpa(http://cankao.gcw818.com) rankedtop 5% in the department. in the second semester, i became teacherassistant that is given to talented and matured students only. thisyear, i won the acer scholarship as the one and only candidate inmy department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguishedstudents endowed by my university. presently, i am preparing mygraduation thesis and trying for the honor of excellent graduationthesis.
researchexperience and academic activity
whena sophomore, i joined the association of ai enthusiast and began tonarrow down my interest for my future research. in 1997, iparticipated in simulation tool development for the schedulingsystem in prof. wang’s lab. with the tool of opengl and matlab, idesigned a simulation program for transportation scheduling system.it is now widely used by different research groups in nust. in1998, i assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & disposeproject for nanjing sewage treatment plant. this was my firstpractice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercialproduct.
in1999, i joined the distinguished professor yu-geng xi's researchgroup aiming at network flow problem solving and heuristicalgorithm research. soon i was engaged in the fudan gene databasedesign. my duty was to pick up the useful information amongdifferent kinds of gene matching format. through the comparison andanalysis for many heuristic algorithms, i introduced an improvedevolutionary algorithm -- multi-population genetic algorithm. bydividing a whole population into several sub-populations, thisimproved algorithm can effectively prevent ga from localconvergence and promote various evolutionary orientations. itproved more efficiently than sga in experiments, too. in the secondsemester, i joined the workshop-scheduling research in shanghaiheavy duty tyre plant. the scheduling was designed for therubber-ma-ki-ng process that covered not only discrete but alsocontinuous circumstances. to make a balance point betweenoptimization quality and time cost, i proposed a dynamic layeredscheduling method based on hybrid petri nets. the practicalapplication showed that the average makespan was shortened by alarge scale. i also publicized two pa-pe-rs in core journals withthis idea. recently, i am doing research in the composite predictof the electrical power system assisted with the technology of datamining for bao steel. i try to combine the decision tree withreceding optimization to provide a new solution for the compositepredictive problem. this project is now under construction.
besides,in july 2000, i got the opportunity to give a lecture in english inasia control conference (ascc) which is one of the top-levelconferences among the world in the area of control and automation.in my senior year, i met prof. xiao-song lin, a visiting professorof mathematics from university of california-riverside, i learnedgraph theory from him for my network research. these experiencesall rapidly expanded my knowledge of english and the understandingof western culture.
ihope to study in depth
inretrospect, i find myself standing on a solid basis in both theoryand experience, which has prepared me for the ph.d. program. myfuture research interests include: network scheduling problem,heuristic algorithm research (especially in ga and neural network),supply chain network research, hybrid system performance analysiswith petri nets and data mining.
